Mobilisation and stretching for the neck
Very few people can truly relax into a neck massage when they have pain and react badly to aggressive stretches and too much pressure.
I have found gentle rocking,squeezing and supported stretching often achieves favourable results and relief from pain.
Try to work with the neck ,encouraging and coaxing the tissue to relax and allow blood flow to the congested and sensitive areas.These techniques are great for general relaxation and maintenance.
